Paleontological Tree of the Vertebrates uses Ernst Haeckel’s eponymous illustration from the fifth edition of his 1910 The Evolution of Man. Each performer navigates the illustration sonifying Haeckel’s branching structure that traces the tree of life from the Archean Eon to the present.
